Walking through McGregor Park this winter and seeing the sun shine through trees and cast shadows and light at the same time, is always mesmerizing to me.
The moment I came across this view, I knew it had to be made into a painting.
Studio Reflections …
I am the light
I am the shadows
I can’t have one without the other
Kissing light dances across the canvas
Reluctant to let light in during my painting process.
Holding back and keeping the shadows more prominent.
Why? What happens when we let the light in?
What are we afraid of?
What happens when “I” let light in?
Darkness finds a way back into my life.
I refuse to stay in darkness
Let go of the control
Let light in
This is where the healing will begin.
